Population

As of July, 2013, population of Thailand is 67,448,120. Compared to the United States, Thailand has approximately 4.5 times lesser population ((The World Fact book ).
According to The Henry J Kaiser Family Foundation, 34% of population in Thailand lives in urban areas of the country.

Agriculture

Agriculture consists of 12.3% GDP and 38.2% of labor force in Thailand.
The main agriculture products consists of rice, cassava (manioc), rubber, corn, sugarcane, coconuts and soybeans (The World Fact book ).

Typical Thai diet consists of rice and other complimentary items that go with the rice such as sir-fry vegetables, curry, meat etc. Soup, fried rice and noddles are also very common as well (Wikipedia).

Industry and Tourism

 Tourism, textiles, garments, agriculture, beverages, tobacco, cement, jewelry, electrical appliances, computers and their parts, furniture, plastics, automobiles and automotive parts are the main types of industry for Thailand. 

They are the second-largest producer of tungsten and third-largest producer of tin in the world. (The World Fact book )

Tourism contributes to 6.7% of Thailand's GDP. On June 1, 2013, Time magazine reported Bangkok  the most visited city in the world. 

Thailand offers a variety of great attractions for people nationally and internationally. These include  beaches, tropical islands, various night-life and night markets, shopping malls, archaeological sites, museums, Buddhist temples and palaces and many World Heritage sites  (Wikipedia). Popularity of a lot of these attractions has to do with tropical weather of Thailand, and the geographic location that allows for various heritage sites and temples.


Cultural Activities 

The main cultural activities of Thailand are hiking, biking, kayaking, site seeing, fishing, visiting beaches, and night bazaar etc. (Asia Discovery). These as mentioned before are the attractions for Thailand that make them worth visiting. Presence of islands, and gorges and mountains allow for many of these cultural activities.
